When paired with our PTC Transponder Antenna on locomotives, these units help your system achieve compliant, reliable data flow from the track to the train’s on-board computer. Ideal for deployment along Main Lines, at Interlockings, on Hand-Operated Switches, at Yard Entrances, and in Dark Territory or Automatic Block Signal areas, these transponders provide essential positional data where it matters most.

• Direction-aware operation: Transponders are configured in sets of 2 or 3 to ensure the train’s on-board PTC computer accurately determines which direction the train is moving, reducing ambiguity at critical points.
• Strategic placement for safety: Use along mainlines, interlockings, yard approaches, and in sections without automatic signals to maintain precise track-side signaling data and improve overall route reliability.
• Fleet-ready, maintenance-friendly: A 12-pack gives you ample units to outfit multiple locomotives or to stock spares, helping minimize downtime and keep your PTC-enabled fleet ready for operation.
